The Chief Doctor is the head of the rescue organisation at motorcycle sport events. He or she has a variety of tasks in which the management and coordination of the rescue forces plays a central role.
However, his/her tasks also include the medical attendance of injured participants or the assessment of the racing fitness of injured participants. In addition to a sound medical training, the preparation for the specifics of motor sport is an important requirement for obtaining the corresponding licence.
